oh yeah, that Christmas truce also happened in WW2, on a smaller scale, but none of them were reprimanded afterwards. That movie sounds pretty heavy, from the wiki-link... like Paths of Glory (Kubrick), WW1 had some real s.o.b. officers on both sides with their medals up their patois... but the point is, if someone claims the white man, or America sucks... they shouldn't be using computers, light bulbs, tennis shoes and toilet paper, or any other of the 10,000,000,000 things we invented (lol).

Hey CPW & JG: recall the Life of Brian where they recount what the Romans have done for them...

Right on topic...

You said it. Where else can you drive over the speedlimit, yak on your cell, and glide through stop signs in a big SUV pretty much unhindered. ;)

I like to ride my bike so get a little opinionated about the way folks drive - plus I live on Long Island so I may not have a realistic view of how normal people drive.

This is definitely one of the best places to live IMO. However, just cause folks have freedom does not mean they will use it wisely.

By the way have I mentioned 11/2/79 lately, listened to it for the umpteenth time and still love it!!!

Stop making sense, people will hate you...

They say the German snowballs were better made, but they ran out of frozen water so we won the snowball fight.

I just saw John Frankenheimer's "The Train" last night, starring a lot of top shelf actors, man... the French railroad dudes knew how to turn the shite right back on the Nazis, holy crap...
take a ride on The Train!

I'll have to see that one you mention.
